Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

November 18, 2007 was not the last time I posted. That would be crazy and totally over a year ago.

I certainly did not hola hoop away my evenings this week on Wii Fit.

I did not lick the toys I painted with washable paint to make sure that it didn't come off. Who would test the safety of a toy by doing that?

I certainly didn't avoid cleaning the house all weekend. My house is always spotless.

I did not go into my closet to read my healing scripture because I woke up with a stomach bug. I did NOT then go to sleep on the comforter in the closet.

I did not walk imaginary kids in my sleep away from my side of the bed because I broke a glass before bed and didn't want them to hurt their feet.

I did not become motivated to finally post because MckMama is giving away a funky prize to one winner.

I did not drop my glove two different times this weekend without noticing. My husband did not find them both times and make fun of me.

I am not in the middle of about four books. Not me! I always read one book from start to finish before I start the next one.

I am not still in progress of crocheting a blanket that I started in the Winter of 2003-2004.

I did not ask for a guitar for Christmas. Even it I did, I would absolutely practice everyday not once a month.

I absolutely will not write more often. That would get my handful of family viewers' hopes up.

I did not post when my comment button is STILL BROKEN. I hate getting feedback anyways.

Adios!

Caley has tagged me...It only took me a week to do it : )

What I was doing 10 years ago: Ten years ago I was in 11th grade, 17 years old. I had my first boyfriend (I was a late bloomer ; ) ) Additionally, I got my first job at Bob Evans. I didn't even mean to get a job there. My friend, Tiffany, went to an open interview and I was her ride. So I went in with her. I decided to apply since I was there. I ended up getting a hosting job even though I barely remember the interview because I had a splitting head-ache. I hung out with my friends a lot and was very active in youth group.

What I was doing 5 years ago: I was beginning my senior year for a degree that I do not use and am quite happy about. At Behrend, I was getting an Accounting degree and getting pretty good grades. While going to school, I worked as a student aid at the college's daycare. I worked with Infants and I loved it! People kept questioning why I was going into Accounting instead of a profession with children. I should have listened!!

One year ago: A year ago I got married to my lovely hubby, Jonathan. We moved to Rochester, NY from DE. I tried to get a job in Accounting and ditched it because I couldn't get a job. I felt it was a sign that I wasn't meant to do it. So I started working in child care again and started a year and a half journey to get my second Masters. This one in Childhood Education (grades 1 -6).

Yesterday: We went to Red Robin to enjoy a malt shake and a burger. We split it due to the enormous sizes that matched the enormous prices. Then we went on a mission to get some Christmas presents. You want to know what we got???? I know you do. NOTHING! After all that, we didn't come up with one thing. Additionally, we were looking for an angel for our tree. We have been looking for years. We don't want a tacky one and it is extremely hard not to find one that isn't tacky. That evening we went to Eric's for a party. It was supposed to be a Pre-Thanksgiving dinner but a lot of people backed out. So we had pizza and junk food. It was a great time.

5 snacks I enjoy: Little Debby Swiss Cakes, Kashi Pumpkin Spice Granola Bars, Brownies, Ice Cream, and Molten Chocolate cake. (The only one I eat regularly is the Granola Bars)

5 things I would do if I had $100 Million: Move to Italy and buy a house, have children right away, pay off all debt, spread the wealth to others, and Invest.

5 places I would run away to: Santa Margarita, Italy, Manhattan, KS, Delaware, Florence, and ?

5 TV shows I like: Scrubs, House, Biggest Loser, Kid Nation, and Beauty and the Geek

5 things I hate doing: Cleaning, Driving, Dishes, Laundry, and Ironing

5 biggest joys of the moment: Having only two days of school this week, not having to plan anymore lessons this week, having a potential job when I graduate, having a loving husband, and enjoying Thanksgiving with my family.

I am tagging Kim, Eric, and Jon.

We have sneaky squirrels. I asked Jon if he thought that the squirrels would eat our pumpkin. He told me that they haven't touched other people's pumpkin so it should leave ours alone. Yeah right! Jon can tell you the story when he caught the squirrel in the act of eating the eye. picture is after a half of a week of them eating our pumpkin. Jon is hoping they get drunk off of it when it starts rotting. They don't seem to mind the mold. Ewww... If you want to see what the pumpkin looked like, check out my flickr account.

Well, I cannot take the easy route. No....I have to look at something and say I can make it myself instead of buying it. Sure enough, Kimmy sends me a link to felt food and is suggesting it for Lauren's gift. I decide I can do it myself. Unfortunately, I could not find any patterns online or at JoAnne Fabrics. I am off to discover how to make them myself from the pictures I could find online. Here are my first two attempts. My hubby is critical of them. Oh well, how much will a kid less than 2 care???

I am tired of the weight. I have NO EXCUSE to have gained weight in the last year or so.

It is time for it to come off. I have been wanting to get my butt moving but I lose motivation. But I am ready to look better.

I have done my ab exercises twice today and I went RUNNING! I did really well too. The thunder helped me keep going at the end.
Time to be healthier at 27 than 26.

I was looking through my flickr pictures and I came upon this one. I remember how tired we were that night for the parent get together. It was two days before we became husband and wife.

It was a very tiring event but I look back at it and smile. I may not remember everything but I had a blast.

Jon is trying really hard to plan our belated honeymoon. Don't mention it to him or he will curse my schooling under his breath : ) Oh how we want to go back to lovely Italy!
I will try to post. I can't say "more" if I don't post at all.

By that point the door is resting against my back. I get up and bam all the bottles on the shelf on the door fall out. I did it again. I make the bar to the shelf fall off by my ghetto booty. The shelf is made to be easily taken out. In my opinion, way too easy. Tonight, without fail, I did it again. This time my toes didn't fare well. I think about 3 bottles (mainly full) fell on my toes. The one toe is now red and swollen. I got the packing tape and tried to tape it so it will never fall again. Given tape doesn't stick to cold things and I would consider the fridge cold. So I am destined to injure myself again and go on a search for all the bottles I knocked out.

I had a lot of misfortunes earlier in the day (it involves syrup, jeans, and my car) and I was ready to go home by the end of the day. My last child didn't leave till after 6pm and I still had school work to do. I got through the tolls and I either have to go straight or right. Now in the mornings....I go right on I-90 and then straight to 390 and the afternoon I need to go straight on I-90 and right on to 490. Well, I got it mixed up along with the construction issues. I got on I-90 west (toward Buffalo). It is 13 miles to the next exit. I was so close to making an illegal U-Turn b/c of the distance. I was a good girl and I went all the way to exit 43 and turned around. Finally I was going the right direction and I had a guy on my butt and wouldn't get off. I finally sped up to get in front of the semi and i saw a police car. I was like crap. I was going 75 until I got in front and thats when I saw him hiding in the woods. I kept peeking behind and no police ever showed up behind me. Believe me he would have gotten a sob story from me. He didn't even pull over the car on my butt that took off once I was out of the way.

I should have been home in 25 minutes...it took me an hour. ICK! Next time I am making a U-Turn...

After I laughed at Kim (see previous entry), Jon came into the room. I see a spider out of the corner of my eye. It is climbing toward the slanted tall ceiling. I know I can't ask Jon to remove it from the house b/c it is way too high up. Jon comments how the spider must think he is in the desert because it is surrounded by white surfaces. The spider is moving along at a really fast speed and fell. I gasped! We see it hit the window woodwork about 2 feet or so from the spider's original location. He isn't moving. We thought it was a suicide. Jon goes over to find out the status on the spider and it moves when he taps on the wood. He decides to move but not climbing up anymore. He moves along the wood until he can't anymore. Jon figures he is now tethered by part of his web. The nice spider wanted to join us near the floor. Jon decided that it was time for him to go outside. So he went to move him and he jumps again about 5 feet. And poof he is gone.

Then we were bored again.

Hallie: "You are waving to a lamp? Wow you guys need to get out. You could at least wave to the bird which is alive"

I laughed a while longer at Kimmy's expense because she and Lauren are waving to a lamp. Crazy. I asked if she will be ok without Tiffany for a week or will they have to bring the lamp along. She assured me that Mom has a Tiffany Lamp. So Lauren will only have to go 2 days without one...or should I buy one for their visit ? : )

I just wanted to give a shout out to my big sis, Kimmy! We have gotten really close in the last 3 years. She, Lauren, and Matthew are starting a new adventure in D.C. I miss them deeply. Now they are so far away : ) But I love them anyways....this is one of my favorite pictures of that day!
